As an active member of the EPODE International Network – EIN, the world’s largest global network for obesity prevention, PRAIS Foundation has implemented from 2013 in Romania the OPEN project – Obesity Prevention through European Network. The project aimed to help approximately 4 million people from several communities across Europe, including 975,000 children and adolescents, to choose and maintain a balanced and active lifestyle. For three years, OPEN has supported programs and initiatives in Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, France, Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Romania. The Romanian program integrated and supported by OPEN was the national movement “I’m living healty, too!” – SETS, initiated by the PRAIS Foundation in March 2011.

The participation of the SETS national movement within the OPEN international project was a recognition of the impact of the methodologies implemented at community and school level. The results of the project reflect the methodological progress of each program and opportunities for progress have been identified.
