The results of the community-based educational projects developed nationally by the PRAIS Foundation together with its founding partner Nestlé Romania mark a new success.

Expanded this year to 19 counties, the national movement “I Live Healthy, Too!” – SETS involved over 3,300 teachers from 434 primary schools in 208 cities and towns, who successfully implemented the SETS activities. The community of participating students and families had free access to all extracurricular educational materials, available in digital format.

NutriPortia inspired thousands of students and families. Based on the information contained in this true illustrative guide, children created 5,500 nutritional sheets and prepared 12,000 cheerful and healthy plates at home or at school. As part of the “Health Superheroes” activity, students created over 4,600 themed drawings, based on the 3,745 interactive lessons taught by teachers in class.

“In our vision and actions, sustainability includes an important pillar: the education of the young generation. Healthy lifestyle habits, the well-being of children and the entire family, and environmental protection by each of us through simple gestures every day are just a few benchmarks of the CSR projects we have supported for over 13 years in our country,” said Irina Siminenco, Corporate Affairs Manager Nestlé Romania.

Starting from the idea that care for nature is learned from childhood, the results of the second national project “The Blue Planet Counts on You!” PACT represent an unprecedented record: 206 primary schools from 143 urban and rural localities in 32 counties enrolled in PACT.

Teachers organized 1,790 classroom lessons. Students selectively collected recyclable waste from paper, cardboard, and plastic, and from these, they created 6,680 decorative artistic objects.

As part of the practical PACT activities, students reconnected with nature. They planted and cared for thousands of flowers, shrubs, and trees, giving them names.

A model of good PACT practices was the pilot activity at “Mircea Santimbreanu” Secondary School in Bucharest: students selectively collected 60 containers with recyclable materials from paper, cardboard, and plastic, totaling over 12,000 liters.

A characteristic of this school year was the participation in both national projects SETS and PACT of 101 schools from those enrolled.

“The large national communities made up of children, families, and teachers involved year after year in our projects are the reward for the joint efforts to provide the young generation with access to resources, knowledge, education, moral values, valuing their talent and potential!” said Silvia Bucur, President of the PRAIS Foundation.”
