I love WATER!

The community-based CSR project “I love APA!”, launched in 2020, is an educational initiative created and developed by the PRAIS Foundation team in partnership with Nestlé Romania and implemented in 22 schools in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Roman, Timisoara and Prahova, Dambovita and Ilfov counties.

Objectives

The main objective of this project is to educate and inform primary school pupils about the importance of conserving the natural resource of the planet and the source of life: WATER. We educate the young generation to responsibly use water, in an ecologically and economically sustainable manner, marking, at the same time, the importance of hydration and protection of the planet’s natural resources.

Outstanding results

During the 2 editions of the project, 9,432 pupils from the preparatory classes to 4th grades and over 18,000 members of their families were able to access the project’s information and extracurricular activities, through over 352 teachers from the schools involved in the project. They were able to benefit from educational materials in digital format, guides with water saving tips, easy to apply in everyday life. The 2021 edition included for the first time an educational short film for children and their families, created internally by the PRAIS Foundation team to promote the project’s objectives.

Following the topic of the educational materials they received, the pupils responded to the initiative by submitting 755 drawings in which they illustrated with great creativity and talent the importance of water for humans and the environment. All participating students were awarded by the PRAIS Foundation.
