The national movement “I Live Healthy, Too!” – SETS, initiated in 2011 by the PRAIS Foundation in partnership with Nestlé Romania, promotes balanced nutrition, physical activities, sports, and well-being among students. In the 13 years since its launch, 3 generations of primary school students have had access to knowledge and practical educational activities that have directly contributed to creating their healthy lifestyle habits.
“Mircea Santimbreanu” Secondary School in Bucharest is one of the major educational institutions that have been involved in SETS since its launch, with teachers engaging hundreds of students in all project activities every year. The event “Over a Decade Together in SETS!” brought together over 1,000 talented students who sang and danced in the anniversary show, marking the success of their involvement in this national project.
The school and its team of teachers received the “Partner of Excellence” Cup and Diploma from the initiators of the national movement.
“We warmly applaud and appreciate the teachers at Mircea Santimbreanu Secondary School, the students, and their families for their consistent involvement in the national SETS movement for 13 years, part of the global Nestlé for Healthier Kids initiative. As a Founding Partner, we have supported this project since its launch, so that as many students aged 6 to 12 in Romania can have access to education for a healthy lifestyle. We continue together!” said Silvia Sticlea, Country Manager Nestlé Romania.
This school year, the PRAIS Foundation team is developing SETS activities in over 145 cities and towns in 18 counties. In total, over 50,000 students from 380 primary schools had free access to rapid learning tools, educational video materials, and information promoted on SETS social media platforms.
“The national movement ‘I Live Healthy, Too! – SETS’ is one of the longest-running community-based social projects in our country. The new learning methodologies we have created and improved every year continue to massively involve children, teachers, and their families! Together with our partners, we continue this extensive educational endeavor, which forms healthy lifestyle habits from childhood. We are grateful to everyone and thank them!” said Silvia Bucur, President of the PRAIS Foundation.
Over the 13 years since the launch of the SETS movement, more than 460,000 students, from preparatory classes to fourth grade, and their families have had free access to SETS information and educational activities. The SETS methodologies created by the PRAIS Foundation team have been recognized as an international best practice model within EPODE. The project has been repeatedly awarded.
Since 2019, the National SETS Movement has been part of the global Nestlé for Healthier Kids initiative.
