A balanced lifestyle and care for nature are learned from childhood, being a priority for both the young generation and families, as well as the communities we live in. On this topic, the PRAIS Foundation team, together with Nestlé Romania and the National Children’s Palace in Bucharest – PNCB, organized the public event “Health Superheroes Invite You to Move and Have Fun!” this weekend in the Children’s World Park in Bucharest. For a few hours, hundreds of students, teachers, and families participated in a true festival of dance, song, and sports, dedicated to well-being and environmental protection.
The event marked the success of the two national educational projects “I Live Healthy, Too!” – SETS and “The Blue Planet Counts on You!” PACT, developed in schools in over 30 counties by the PRAIS Foundation in partnership with Nestlé Romania, through a series of artistic moments and sports demonstrations supported by talented children and athletes from PNCB clubs.
“We believe in the power to do good! For more than 13 years, we have supported the national SETS movement, which has allowed the formation of healthy lifestyle habits among thousands of primary school students in our country. In a holistic approach, we have also been developing the PACT project for 3 years, within which school-age children learn to take care of nature and the planet’s resources, protecting them. We are building the future today, together!” said Silvia Sticlea, Country Manager Nestlé Romania.
This school year, the PRAIS Foundation team is developing SETS activities in over 145 cities and towns in 18 counties. In total, over 50,000 students from 380 primary schools had free access to rapid learning tools, educational video materials, and information promoted on SETS social media platforms. Over the 13 years since the launch of the SETS movement, more than 460,000 students, from preparatory classes to fourth grade, and their families have been able to participate in SETS educational activities.
“Thousands of teachers, students, and their families volunteer, participating year after year, increasingly in our project activities! The two national movements, abbreviated SETS and PACT, which we created and implement with outstanding results, together with our founding partner Nestlé, reflect the real interest in the importance of a healthy lifestyle and care for the environment among the young generation and the communities we live in. We thank our partners and everyone who supports us!” said Silvia Bucur, President of the PRAIS Foundation.
This school year, over 190 primary schools from 122 urban and rural localities in 30 counties are participating in the third edition of the national educational project “The Blue Planet Counts on You!” PACT. Over 28,000 students had access to informational materials alongside 1,850 teachers.
